안녕하세요! 크립토서울은 블록체인 커뮤니티의 발전을 위해 다양한 밋업의 기회를 제공하고 있습니다. 이번에는 세계적으로 주목을 받고 있는 디피니티(DFINITY) 팀을 모시게 되었습니다.
DFINITY는 블록체인 기반 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스이며, 클라우드 3.0 혹은 인터넷 3.0 이라고도 설명합니다. 스마트 계약을 지원하며 이더리움과 호환성을 가집니다. DFINITY에서 주장하는 보안, 속도, 스케일을 충족시키는 무제한 용량을 위해서는 기본적으로 100만명 이상의 참여자들이 합류해야 최대의 효율을 낼 수 있습니다. 2015년 1월에 고안된 아이디어로서 단기적으로 시행한 프로젝트는 아니며, 현재 큰 기대를 받고 있습니다.
밋업의 깜짝 게스트는 지난 크립토서울 밋업 ‘Blockchain meets Academia’ 때 큰 반향을 일으켰던 KAIST 김용대 교수님이십니다! 오프닝 발표로 밋업의 의미를 더욱 더해주실 것으로 기대됩니다. 많은 관심과 참석 부탁드립니다!

Presenter: Dominic Williams | President & Chief Scientist, DFINITY
Dominic is a technology entrepreneur and a long-standing distributed computing enthusiast. In recent years he has proposed numerous novel blockchain schemes including Threshold Relay, Probablistic Slot Consensus, Validation Towers, Puzzle Towers and other techniques now gaining recognition. Before switching to the crypto industry in 2013, he created an innovative venture-backed MMO game that he scaled to millions of users, having first devised many of the supporting distributed computing systems himself. He founded the DFINITY project in January 2015, which now has a token cap in excess of $2B.
